I am in love with this Monster Mash stamp set! It is adorable. Reminds me of the ghosts from PacMan! I don’t typically care for Halloween themed sets but this set can be used for Halloween cards as well. I plan on using it to create  my son’s treat bags for school! I paired Monster Mash with the Party Banner die and stitched hillside die. Each of the hearts from the set were stamped sporadically and colored in with various Wink of…

Decorate With Your Kid’s Favorite Book

This is pretty cool!

Maggie May's

book pagesWhen your kid decides that a particular book is his all-time favorite, you can expect it to get destroyed pretty quickly.

Kids aren’t exactly gentle with their books and when it’s one that they read over and over and over, you can bet it’s going to get beat up. I’m sure you have some books that look like this..

I have to admit that after reading a book 2,000 times, I start to get a little sentimental towards it knowing that it will most likely become a childhood memory for my kids.

So when those books get too beat up to even read anymore, I hate to throw them away. They have become a part of me (and my kids) by then.

I wanted to see if we could keep the memory alive somehow even if the book was ruined. I thought about framing the pages but that would…

DIY Pudding Pops- all natural, non-dairy, delicious

Yum! This is so good!

Maggie May's

pudding popI promise this will be my last popsicle post for a little while, but I couldn’t resist. I just love these pudding pops.

A while ago I shared a recipe for a dairy and gluten-free pudding.

pudding-dairy, gluten freeI was making some recently and decided to put the pudding into our popsicle molds instead. With the hot weather, my kids are more into frozen treats right now.

What I love most about these is how great they are for those days when your kids will only eat a little bit of their dinner but can miraculously find room for dessert. I offer a pudding pop and they think they are getting a delicious dessert but in reality they are getting nutritious avocado, banana, fruit, chia seeds and almond milk. I see it as a win-win.

Basically just make this recipe of chocolate pudding:

1 ripe avacado
1/2 cup almond milk (I like…

Paper Crafts by Laurel

Hi there everyone! I’m here today with another A Jillian Vance Design project! I decided to create a DIY bookmark for my son, who starts third grade on Monday! WAHHHHHHHH! Man, they just grow up way to fast!!!! I can’t stand it…. The sentiment from the Big and Bold stamp set is the focal point here! I did some watercoloring and some bokeh look with some white pigment ink. Then I ran it thru my laminator and voila, instant bookmark!

Back to School Teacher’s Gift

This should be cool for back to school for teachers.

Paper Crafts by Laurel

I’ve had a ton of emails asking what I am doing for the teachers this year.  First off, I have to say a big THANK YOU to Pinterest. They had a ton of ideas. I picked my top three and let Lucas choose which one he wanted to do!

This is super cute, super easy and super CHEAP! LOL!  I downloaded the tag template straight from the website I found it. She was kind enough to provide a free download.  She posted some great pictures over there of hers too! Mine is pretty simple as I had about 10 minutes to pull this together! The ONLY thing I did different was I added some Wink of Stella in Clear to the colored letters and then laminated it with my super cheap and fabulously awesome laminator.

So there you have it! Easy Peasy!

Paint Fusion with Sheena

This pretty cool!

Hi there! I’m here with another post for Crafters Companion! Sheena has this Paint Fusion line, which is amazing! Today I’m using THIS STAMP SET. Now i kept this simple. With the set, you get practice sheets and instructional sheets and tips on how to paint with this set. Today, I just used Distress Inks. (Picked Raspberry, Seedless Preserves, Forest Moss, Mowed Lawn, Ripe Persimmon). I made sure that I touched a wet brush to all of the stamped images so they all would have the watercolored look. The “HEART” sentiment was made with my die cutting machine. Let’s talk about that embossed background. I AM IN LOVE WITH THIS EMBOSSING FOLDER! It’s called Snowfall and it is fantastic! Sheena has an entire line of Festive Embossing folders worth taking a look at.

Be sure to head on over to Crafters Companion and check out their new…
